I have been using this bike for commuting for 15 years, it is built like a tank, due to the aerodynamic advantage, it is as fast as an upright, i can not be happier, I bought it used, and have had no problems for all these years. Best bang for the buck!

Bike is limited in speed due to it's small front and rear wheel, heavy frame and components, although is incredibly comfortable for long journeys. Very unique look guaranteed to turn heads from the ordinary upright bicycle.Overall great quality product you get what you pay for.

    Comments:

This Sun EZ-1 SX was a 2009 Christmas present from my Wife. Thanks Dear! I found it on Craigs list as a 2 yr. old unassembled (still in the box) bike. (She bought it and had it put together and suprised me) I have riden it about 30-40 miles so far and it is a great ride. I was on a Gary Fisher Mountain bike. I was always getting numb hands from leaning over the handle bars too much. That is not a problem with a recumbent, although you must get use to using different muscles on a recumbent. I am 6'2" so I am a bit tall for this bike. Unsure what my x-seam is (about 43-44) but my back seat rear quick connect is behind the second to last riser bar in the bike frame. I sit almost upright too. It is a BLAST to ride. I look forward to going for a bike ride every day I can.

      Comments:

I have lower back problems, and was looking for a bike to ride around town with my wife and children. I hated hunching over regular style bikes, always having to hold yourself up with your arms and upper body, and straining my back. This bike puts your body in a completely comfortable position for the most enjoyable ride you will ever have. What a Great Ride! And a real eye catcher. Everyone who sees you on this bike comments "What a Cool Bike!"

      Comments:

I've had my recumbent for several years and never get tired of it. This recumbent design is great for general commuting on roadsides and groomed trails. It is not made for riding on rough trails or any sort of mountain biking. Though you can't fly over the handlebars as with standard bicyles, reaction-time for loose gravel and sudden ruts on rougher trails makes this bicycle an impractical choice.

      Comments:

After 2 months on the EZ-1, I can say it gets easier to ride all the time. It's very comfortable, is easily adaptable, easy to see by cars & trucks if you have it accessorized properly (lights, tall flag, etc.) I arrive at work much less tired than I used to on a DF bike. I also feel safer- nowhere to fall and hurt myself. I had a minor crank issue that was only a normal break-in issue- crank bearings needed tightening after 100 miles. Shifting is positive, components, while not high-end, are good enough. Easy to adapt a basket and tail light behind the seat. A "share the road" auto license plate or equivalent makes for increased visability. Lots of room on the handlebars for water bottle (2 more places in back), speedometer, bell, lights, whatever you want. Handles like a dream after you get used to it (tends to over-steer at first if you're used to a larger front wheel.) Excellent brakes. Fenders available for around $20/pair. Not the cheapest Sun 'bent, but is probably the most comfortable/practical. It's a little heavy, but rolls very fast down hill. Geared low enough where it will climb trees, albeit slowly - 8 in the back, 3 in the front. Not a racer, but an excellent daily commuter. I'm a baby-boomer. If more of my generation tried this bike for 5 minutes, we'd see them everywhere- they're that good. But you can be a teen and still enjoy the comfort and style of this 'bent.
